Jony Altszul

Co-founder and CEO

Before founding Fairgate, Jonatan Altszul built successful companies in the Cybersecurity Industry.

Early in his career, he founded and served as CEO of Core Security Technologies, where they created pioneering risk assessment technology including the development of the first automated penetration testing software product, earning the loyalty of clients such as Apple, Cisco, Department of Homeland Security, NSA, NASA, Lockheed Martin, and DARPA among many others.

Later, Jony decided to combine his vast experience in Cybersecurity with his passion for Blockchain to create, with his long-time friends and partners, Fairgate, where he serves as CEO, leading a team of experts aiming to unlock Bitcoin’s full potential.

Sergio Lerner

Co-founder and CTO

Sergio has a long trajectory as a Cybersecurity and Blockchain researcher and entrepreneur. He has been actively participating in the Bitcoin community since 2011 and he is very well known for his security contributions and various improvements.

In 2015 he co-founded RSK Labs, the team behind the RSK Smart Contract platform (Rootstock), which brought smart contract capabilities to Bitcoin.

Based in Buenos Aires, Sergio is also known for his pioneering research on Satoshi Nakamoto’s mining activities and his contributions to Ethereum’s early development. Sergio is also a founding member of Coinspect and Coinfabrik.

Sergio serves as Chief Technology Officer of Fairgate, leading the groundbreaking “BitVMX” project in partnership with its founding sponsor RootstockLabs, aiming to expand Bitcoin’s programmability and scalability.

Ariel Futoransky

Co-founder and CSO

Ariel Futoransky (a.k.a. Futo) has always been extremely curious about science & technology, its future, and how they will continue to impact society. He co-founded Core Security Technologies, Disarmista, and BitTrap.

He is a researcher, a programmer and an entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to the worlds of cryptography, cybersecurity and blockchain.
